宝博体育 Spring Break in 意大利 and 葡萄牙 

Through the past months 宝博体育 in 巴黎, I’ve visited amazing places, like 巴塞罗那 和布鲁塞尔, but over this past spring break, I had my fair share of planes, 火车, and automobiles while traveling around Europe. If there’s one thing I recommend the most about 宝博体育, it’s finding time to travel to neighboring countries. 例如, from what I experienced in 法国, 大多数国家离这里只有两个小时的飞行距离，而且很容易找到旅馆和酒店，可以增强你的体验，让你看到新的地方!  

意大利 

For a week, I visited and stayed with one of my friends who’s 宝博体育 in 弗洛伦斯、意大利. 几天之后, 我体验了意大利文化，看到了佛罗伦萨周围不同的邻近城市, 比如比萨, 维亚雷吉奥荒凉, 和锡耶纳. One thing that I didn't realize about 法国 versus 意大利, 为什么意大利的火车票价要便宜得多，我们大多数的火车票往返票价都在30欧元以下. 这使得去不同的城市旅行非常容易，我们甚至从比萨坐火车20分钟就能看到海岸.  

Italian Observations

在这张图中, you can see the Duomo in 弗洛伦斯; I learned that the colors of the marble are from three different cities: white (Carrara), 绿色(普拉托), 粉色(锡耶纳). 

另外, one of my favorite similarities was in the pastries and desserts; for example, 这个城市有很多地方可以买到意式冰淇淋和其他糕点. 就像巴黎牛角包一样，买新鲜牛角包时要注意的一些东西, in 弗洛伦斯 when getting gelato, 找一个使用金属罐的地方很重要，因为它可能会更新鲜，更真实. 整体, you can't really go wrong with 国外的食物 in 弗洛伦斯 and there’s so many options around the city. 我和朋友们去过的一些餐馆有早午餐的Rooster caf和披萨的Il Pizzaiuolo, both were amazing, and I highly recommend trying them.  

Italian Explorations

从佛罗伦萨到其他城市也很容易，我们的一日游之一是去比萨，在那里我们看到了斜塔，并在镇上散步. Since the Leaning Tower is the main attraction in the city, I recommend taking the train to the coast to go to the beach, depending on the weather.

In 比萨, we of course had to see the Leaning Tower in person. 这绝对是我休息时看到的最酷的东西之一!  

We went to 维亚雷吉奥荒凉, 即使在下雨的时候也很漂亮，而且距离比萨只有20分钟的火车车程.

在维亚雷焦，我们沿着海滩走过村庄的一部分，注意到街道两旁种满了橘子树!  

我们还去了锡耶纳，在市中心的钟楼附近散步，吃了一些新鲜的意大利面当晚餐.

在这里你可以看到锡耶纳的曼吉亚塔，绝对是市中心不容错过的!  

我在国外了解到的是托斯卡纳地区包括佛罗伦萨, 比萨, 锡耶纳, and San Gimignano. 每个城市都是独一无二的，我期待着探索意大利的其他城市，比如 罗马 和威尼斯.  

葡萄牙 

For the latter part of my spring break, I headed back to 巴黎, re-packed and then got on a flight to Porto, 葡萄牙, which was obviously different from my previous Italian trip. 在到达时, 看到我们宿舍周围所有不同的建筑并探索这个地区是令人兴奋的. One of our main activities was doing a bus tour around the city, which although touristy, 让我们避开了雨，看到了波尔图不同的地方.

整体, 我的春假欧洲之旅让我大开眼界，我喜欢体验不同的文化, 美食, 和风景. 同样有趣的是，我注意到巴黎越来越像家了，而在旅行中，我发现自己想念巴黎的某些方面. Just like with any other city, 体验世界的其他地方是令人兴奋的，这将带来一段难忘的留学经历, both in your city and others!
